Imus Park - reinvented

Actually, this should have been posted a month ago but i've been quite busy. The old park had an old type of setting with the old spanish thing going on and it was quite pleasant. Now, there is a flagpole in the middle, the park benches are replaced with steel benches, the monument has been revamped and the whole floor is a big Philippine flag.

Personally, I still liked the old one setting. It felt more cozy than this new theme. Change is inevitable we learn to accept it.

Jollibee/Chowking Madrigal

There's a new hangout spot for the barkada in the wee hours in the morning in the Alabang area. It's found in the corner of Alabang-Zapote Rd and Madrigal Ave. in Alabang Muntinlupa. It's open 24 hours so if your either craving for siopao or even a burger steak, this hits the spot.

What I like about the Jollibee here is that it has a cozy feel to it. You won't feel that you're in a Jollibee fastfood. They have comfortable sofa seats with small round lounge tables to place your breakfast meal, coffee or burger. On the second floor, you will find a play area for the kids, more chairs and tables or booths, plus I saw an activity area for birthday or some sort of gathering.

Chowking on the other hand is almost like any other Chowking store. The difference is they have nice furnitures (chairs are slim and light but covered in leather and has stitchings on the side and sofa seats) plus the shared lanai with Jollibee on the side. On the second floor, there is a separate area for meetings or gatherings and it has a wall mounted LCD tv that could be used for video presentations(?).

Jollibee also has a drive thru if you're on the go and running late or just had a sudden craving for Rocky Road sundae (like me.... haha!!).

2 days before 2008

Yesterday, my brother and I fetched my parents from the airport. Since it's almost lunch time we trotted to the nearest mall, SM Mall of Asia for that matter. I parked the car then went straight to the resto. Mann Hann, a chinese restaurant that has some cross with filipino dishes. Called a waiter, asked for the menu, and ordered in a flash (yes, we were hungry).

We ordered a lot. There were Fried Lumpia, Sweet and Sour Pork, Broccolli in oyster sauce, Oyster Cake (sounds weird but tastes ok), Lechon Kawali, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and it was all drowned by Honey Lemon Iced Tea.

After we had our very filling lunch we had a stroll inside the mall. But lo and behold, not far away was another disaster waiting to happen..... A Krispy Kreme outlet has opened!! Off I go to the counter to check out my just "desserts" (pun intended). The store was located under the stairs near the National Bookstore branch inside the center building.

Walking along we noticed the huge christams tree set-up inside the mall. My mom and brother found it as a photo op. Since most of the people were gathering near the mall Santa, we settled for the side of the christmas tree.


Finally getting tired of walking and couldn't really buy anything (heck, even cdr king was jam packed!). We eventually decided to head home. As I really wanted to chow down my KK take out. By the way, I couldn't go home without a souvenir.
