PSP Slim & Lite: Ice Silver

I gave in to the gamer in me. I bought a PSP slim. I got the ice silver, really wanted to get the spiderman 3 edition but it's a tad expensive for my pocket. I succumbed to peer pressure (haha!!) and some of the new games that are coming out are really great. Graphics wise, they are good if not great. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of playing, some moisture got in through the d-pad and it made it have a life of its own. At first, the "up" button wouldn't work. Then the "left" would fight with the "right" button until everything just went. Got it fixed but pressing up has a bit of a delay. I guess I could live with that for the moment because I don't have games that really need the "up" button too much. Another thing, I noticed that my eyes strain a lot faster when playing for long hours than playing with the PC or my PS2. I guess small screens and my eyes don't really mix. Played a few games, finished some of them but that will be on a nother post or maybe i'll make another blog for it. We shall see.

Moo Ice Cream Sandwiches

Well, yet another post about ice creams. It's summer, I can't stop looking for something to cool me off. In the past few months, i've been looking for a tasty ice cream sandwich. I tried hagen danz, Blizzard, and one from Brother' Burgers. This one came from Selecta (but it says Wall's on the package). You get 10pcs per package and cost a little more than a hundred bucks. I don't know if it really does contain more than its fair share of milk. It says that it provides more calcium because of the milk content to help bones grow stronger and all that babble. I guess it helps if your kids are going to eat it. Not only does it taste yummy but it's healthy too.

It's individaully wrapped so it's easy if you just one to eat a piece. It doesn't stick to each other and make a gooey mess. The packaging is great but be carefull in opening it because it suddenly rips apart if you apply too much pressure. The cookie sandwich itself is small, bite size small. Two big bites, or if you have a big mouth one bite will be enough to make it disappear. So one piece couldn't really hit the spot. Maybe, two or three would do it. But for kids, I guess one should do fine.

Ben & Jerry's: Neapolitan Dynamite

Since my son doesn't want to share his ice cream, I bought another one for myself (ha!). This one's called Neapolitan Dynamite by Ben & Jerry's. I liked this one better. The chocolate chunks I found inside are the size of a small square piece of a Hershey's Bar. I also found big bits of cherry and that oh so delectable fudge brownies. Just like the last Ben & Jerry's that I bought, I couldn't eat this in one sitting 'coz its soooo sweet. Not that i'm complaining but it just doesn't compare to local ice cream's that i've tasted.

Magnolia Ice Cream: Cool Bubblegum

Magnolia Ice Cream recently released a Limited Edition Ice Cream Flavor. It's called Cool Bubblegum. It comes in 4 or 5 different colors for the container but I think the contents are basically the same. When I opened it, It does look like what is pictured on the cover. It pink and blue with bits of chocolate, mallows and a hint of bubblegum syrup. My son liked it a lot that he doesn't want to share!! Drawback of eating this ice cream is that it leaves a color stain on you lips, teeth, and toungue. Not that its a bad thing (just like the cry baby, grenade, and mouth wash candies) but it's awfully funny.

Cd-r King Laptop Cooler

My previous laptop cooler gave up on me after a few months of service. It had three fans that gave up one by one and was just soaking more heat. Off I go to cdr king to get a replacement. What do you know they have one that tilts the laptop to get a fresh stream underneath. Another good thing about it is the tilt is adjustable.

From the side you could see the tracks that locks the fan so that it could be tilted. Problem is the first two or three positions won't lock so it's useless. Just use the first position that locks.

The front part has a stopper to prevent your notebook from slipping. It also has rubber cut-outs to prevent scratches. The problem i found with this is the headset, mic jack, screen lock, and volume control of my notebook are all located at the front so i had to improvise.

The feature I liked most is the swivel. you can swing it left or right so if you have to show a document, pic or what not to someone beside you, you could just swing the whole thing with ease.

It's powered through the usb port and I think it could handle notebook sizes from 12" up. Been using it for a good two months and it's still working. Hope this one lasts longer than the last one.
